Tedd Clevenger

Accounting Manager

Tedd began his career at Kimmel & Associates in 2024 as Accounting Manager.

Prior to joining Kimmel & Associates, Tedd gained more than a decade of experience in accounting, underwriting, and financial planning.

He earned dual bachelor’s degrees in English and Philosophy from Appalachian State University and his MS in Accountancy from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He has been a serial entrepreneur.

Outside of the office, Tedd enjoys spending time with family and friends, mountain biking, camping, hiking, fishing, and traveling.

We sat down with Tedd and asked him the following:

• What do you like most about working at Kimmel & Associates?
  I have been overwhelmed by the positivity and support I have received from everyone at Kimmel. This is a very positive environment that fosters growth and collaboration. Kimmel & Associates also prioritizes and cares about their employees in a real and personal manner, and this shows not only in the workplace, but in the spreadsheets as well.
• What is one thing you learned early in your career that has made you successful?
  Embracing failures and mistakes without chastising yourself or bruising your ego is imperative to growth and future success. Struggle and adversity are rich opportunities to become better than you were yesterday and should be eagerly embraced, not avoided.
• What can clients and candidates expect from you?
  While I do not work directly with clients and candidates, everyone that interacts with me can expect to be heard and treated with respect. I also hold personal responsibility as one of the greatest virtues in life, so I strive to always be reliable, responsible, and accountable.
• Favorite quote?
  “The Dude abides.” Not only do I find The Big Lebowski hilarious and absurd, I appreciate the sentiment that so much of life is outside our control and we’re thrown into predicaments where we have no choice but to accept it and move through it as best we’re able.
• What causes are you passionate about?
  Supporting children’s hospitals.
• Personal interests?
  Outside of my affinity for the outdoors and spending time with my family, I also enjoy investing and financial markets. One day, I intend to tinker in horology as I appreciate the delicate craftsmanship and artistry of mechanical watches.
