About the Position
The company is seeking a results-driven and detail-oriented Estimator or Senior Estimator to join their growing team. This individual will play a key role in driving business development efforts through accurate cost estimation, bid preparation, and project analysis for roofing and sheet metal scopes.
You’ll work closely with leadership, project managers, vendors, and clients to develop proposals that are competitive, well-structured, and aligned with the company's standards of excellence. Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed estimates for commercial and private sector roofing and sheet metal projects.

Analyze drawings, specifications, and proposals to determine cost structure and competitive bid strategies.

Source pricing from vendors and subcontractors to ensure accuracy and cost competitiveness.

Collaborate with project managers and operations teams to support pre-construction planning and budgeting.

Participate in client meetings and site visits as needed.

Track market trends and maintain a database of historical costs for forecasting.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of estimating tools and processes.
Requirements

Experience: Minimum 5–10 years of experience in roofing or construction estimating (commercial roofing preferred).

Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with various roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, metal, etc.) and sheet metal detailing.

Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret plans/specs and develop clear, accurate estimates.

Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable interfacing with clients and vendors.

Technology: Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Drive: Self-motivated with a commitment to quality, deadlines, and teamwork.
